We asked the AIs who to vote for — see what they answered, even though they were prohibited from taking a position.

The BBC News Brazil tested AI responses to questions about candidate preferences in the 2026 elections. Yasmin Curzi, DTD Lab postdoc, explained that the risk goes beyond people asking directly who to vote for, but also in how they search with AI-generated summaries in internet searches, which do not always provide correct information or sufficient context.

Deepnudes, AI, and digital violence: what changes for the platforms?
