The Taking Back Tech series brings together leading scholars, advocates, and practitioners to discuss the intersections of technology, democracy, human rights, and activism. The goal is to critically examine how technologies that are not serving the public interest can be re-build, re-framed or discontinued, while exploring pathways for more inclusive, rights-focused tech governance frameworks.
This session will examine the current state of AI governance and identify the main issues with the way we build, deploy, and govern AI. It will address who is left out of AI governance, and how we can bring these voices to the table.
