As Brazil heads toward the 2026 general elections, we are bringing together leading scholars for a series of three timely conversations about the country’s political landscape, electoral dynamics, and democratic future. Join DTD Lab faculty co-lead David Nemer, who will moderate these virtual roundtables at key moments in the electoral process: just before the first round, ahead of the second round, and immediately following the election.
What do the election results mean for Brazil? Isabela Kalil (FESPSP) and Thiago Amparo (FGV) will reflect on the outcome of the 2026 elections, what it means for Brazil’s democracy and political future, and how the results may reshape the country’s increasingly tense relationship with the United States.
The session will be recorded for those who cannot attend live – make sure to register to receive notification when the video is available to view.
